Wrong conception about oily skin
People have some wrong conception about oily skin that applying skin lotion or moisturizer on oily skin leads to many skin problems. Nowadays this false notion is also followed by a new age group and if you are one among them then you are mistaken. The truth is that moisture helps us maintain our skin making it healthy. Oil extracted by your skin doesn’t give your skin the same nourishment that a skincare product gives.
Care for oily skin
You don’t have to panic about your skin if it is oily. The report says that if you have oily skin then it is less possibility to get wrinkles on our skin than others having oil-free skin, but it doesn’t mean that you should not care about your skin.
For oily skin proper balance care is essential. You will get the finest effect on your oily skin if you take proper care by eradicating excess oil that is seen on the face without excorticating the layer of oil on your skin completely and if you ignore this, the skin will produce more oil to balance the oil that is lacking in your skin making things more worst.
You can always use gentle soaps rather than a bar soap for your body as well as face two times a day if your skin is oily. Cleansers that are clay-based, milk-based, water-based, or nut-based are well suited for oily skin but remember that it just take out extra oils from your skin without making it dry by removing the oily layer on the surface of your skin.
Exfoliation is necessary for oily skin
The best and easiest way to remove excess oil from your skin is by Exfoliation. Exfoliation also helps in reducing pores’ size on your face. It should be done two to three times a week, but you have to be slightly careful while doing it as too much exfoliation may cause an extensive flow of oil. If you suffer from acne gently exfoliate your skin as scrubbing skin firmly will exaggerate your condition.
Even though vinegar toner and green tea (organic) are astringent to some extent works best on oily skin without harming your skin. There are many moisturizers available but depending on the oil production level of skin they vary.
If you want to use a moisturizer that is oil-based then go for either jojoba oil or neem oil as other oils can put you in trouble by making your skin condition more worst. You may avoid lotions or moisturizers at a time as your skin already has the correct amount of moisture that is required for healthy glowing skin.
Instead, you can use a simple, light humectants toner (vegetable glycerin) on your skin which will add moisture on your skin, unlike other cream moisturizers that are heavy on the skin making it sticky.
You can also use clay or honey face masks weekly as they help in balancing extra oil levels and sebum of your skin. Make sure that you protect your skin from exploring out in the sun or excessive heat by applying sunscreen lotions with UV protection this is applicable to all types of skin.
